What is early parenthood?
Early Parenthood is defined as having one’s first child before age 21. Early Parenthood, also known as adolescent pregnancy, is pregnancy in a female under the age of 20, according to the WHO. Early Parenthood can occur with sexual intercourse after the start of ovulation, which can be before the first menstrual period (menarche) but usually occurs after the onset of periods.
EFFECTS OF EARLY PARENTHOOD:
It is clear that being a child of a teenage mother often entails numerous risks: low birth weight, complications of the mother’s pregnancy and delivery, and health problems associated with poor perinatal outcomes; greater risk of perinatal death; lower IQ and academic achievement later on, including a greater risk of Our findings suggested that for both women and men, early parenthood had a negative impact on educational attainment and employment.
Mission:
Our mission is to prevent Early Parenthood and to spread awareness about sex education. We aim to educate the teenagers, parents and the community at large.We would like to educate the teengers about sex education and protected sex. Also,the consequences of having a child in an early age, that could possible affect a teenagers Health and Educational Attainment. We want to encourage the parents and the profressionals to start a discussion about sex and many myths sorrounding teenage pregnancy. Also to reinforce the point with parents that the first line of defense against Early Parenthood is keeping teenagers informed about sex education.
Vision:
The vision of our concept is mainly to educate, prepare and inform youth majority in early teenage parenthood. Our visualization aims for better and more positive welcoming mindset about this issue. For that reason we hope that an event in this extent would gradually inform individuals in the importance of being knowledgeable when it comes to a topic comparable to this one.
II. PURPOSE:
The purpose of our Social Campaign named “PREVENTING EARLY PARENTHOOD”.
• Our Campaign aims to reduce the cases of early parenthood in our society, we would like to educate the teenagers about sex education and protected sex. Teenagers should avoid their curiosity about sex, and be aware of the result of their curiosity.
• To contribute significantly in dropping out the rates among the high school females that have been pregnant in an early age. Also to increase health and factor care cost and to expand the realm outcome challenge for children born from teen mothers.
• It also focuses on teen mothers who gave birth to their children in a young age,
that could possible affect child and mothers health.
• Prevention effort requires understanding of the problem including knowledge unto the target population. To lessen the rates of early parenthood and to have knowledge about the outcome of unprotected sex.
• To prevent early parenthood, teenagers should prevent physical touch. Physical touch like hugs and kisses could possible lead to regretful decision. Teenagers should be more careful and avoid getting intimate with someone to prevent teenage pregnancy.
• To give awareness about early parenthood towards the teenagers, parents and to the community.
III. DESCRIPTION:
Our Campaign aims to prevent early parenthood and to provide basic sex education for the minors. Our Campaign will also discussed about the possible long-term consequences of Early Parenthood.
Early Parenthood had been a worldwide issue, and has raised large number of campaigns and awareness to lessen its occurrence. Early Parenthood was caused by curiosity or experimentation, peer pressure, family-related problems, lack of information and the influence of the liberal views on sex. To prevent Early Parenthood, guidance from the parents is mostly needed. It is their responsibility to guide their children and to provide basic knowledge and outcomes of early parenthood. Knowledge coming from the parents was most likely the most realistic and knowledgeable one since their more experienced and they have more knowledge about preventing and understanding it. Parents should also take accountability, they should be open minded upon discussing open sex converstions. They must guide their child along with the consequences that come with poor decision making in this certain topic. Teenagers should also be encouraged to be open-minded about preventing and knowing the long-term consequences of Early Parenthood unto his/her Health and Educational Attainment and Employment.
Our goal is to prevent early parenthood by spreading our campaigns objective which is the following:
•To discussed about the possible outcomes of Early Parenthood
•To provide knowledge on how to prevent Early Parenthood
•The Influence of a parents guidance in preventing Early Parenthood
This campaign would like to influenced the teenagers to be more open-minded about this issue and to encourage the parents to guide their children’s in preventing Early Parenthood.
IV. SUPPORT
The ” PREVENTING EARLY PARENTHOOD” campaign financially needs ₱10,000.00 for our programs in preventing Early Parenthood. Our program will freely provide everything including foods, target place and the needed things in conducting the program. We will provide teens with evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention programs, including youth development and curriculum-based programs, which could really help a lot in educating the youth. This programs targeted audience was mostly the teengers and some parents that could really help a lot in giving more knowledge in preventing Early Parenthood.
